Golden Morning Mist on Lake Wassookeag in Central Maine
This golden sunrise was captured at Lake Wassookeag in the Central Maine Highlands during the autumn season on October 22. It is difficult to explain the calm and peacefulness to someone who has spent their life in a large city. To some who grew up in places like that, a view like this may appear empty and make them uneasy. What a time and place like this provides us with is a pathway to knowing ourselves better, of calmiing our minds enough to get in touch with the silence. It is only then when we are able to begin the journey of acquiring an inner knowlege of ourselves which, in turn, better connects us to the rest of humanity. Take a chance.
