Twilight at Garland Pond with White Birch Trees
This shows twilight at Garland Pond in Garland, Maine during mid-October. This Maine Highlands image was taken from the eastern shore in the small public park that is in the center of the village. Note the white birch trees on the left side that add a very nice calming contrast. This is a good example of why so many people love Maine. Try to imagine what it was like over a century ago to move these large boulders to the shore. Image specs: Taken on October 15 at 5:55 PM using Canon EOS 5D Mark IV Full Frame Camera with Tamron 15-30mm f/2.8 lens at 15mm, f/22 and ISO 160. Because of the wide dynamic range, three photos were taken and used. Shutter speeds were 1/5, 1/20 and 0.8 seconds.
