The Abbott Memorial Library was given as a gift to the people of Dexter on Christmas Day, December 25, 1894, by George A. Abbott. The Abbott family owned and operated a local woolen mill for many years. Think of how many lives his gift and compassion impacted in a positive way. Something can be learned here.
