July Twilight on Lake Wassookeag in Dexter, Maine
Professional photographers refer to this as the golden hour for good reason. Twilight often presents colors not apparent during normal daylight. This image of Lake Wassookeag was taken on July 25 at 8:25 PM, after the sun had set. The wind often calms down and there is a lingering glow across the horizon which creates a nice contrast to the rest of the landscape. Reflections add to the glass-like appearance.
